More school fun. In Rob's Old Testament class he had them build a tabernacle for a project. The students really got into it! They built some amazing tabernacles! He then made them present them in class! Here are the pics:
Mr. Johnson inspecting the project as the student presents!
Two of the students pointing out their impressive features to their teacher!
It was fun to see the students' creativity!

Ah, I always loved seeing my students' creativity when I asked them to build models and such. However, in 5th and 6th grade, if it was done VERY well ... I could count on it being the parents' creativity most of the time. ;)
And, I love Mr. Johnson's professional teacher pose. Yep, I think that one should go in the yearbook, oh sponsor woman.
It's fun to read about all the creative things he does in his classes ... yep, I think he might have teaching in his blood. :)
Wow, I'm pretty impressed at their tabernacles! It has to be so much more fun being the teacher and looking at the work than being the student and having to do it. But that actually sounds like it would have been fun even to do.
I taught OT for 10th graders my second year at MICA! My most successful project was with the minor prophets. I had 11 students, so each of us (them and myself) took a minor prophet, read the book, created a poster, and presented it to the class. The students got amazing applications out of those books. It was a delight to hear them! That group of kids is graduating this year. How time flies!
